Deutsch: Günther R. W. Leitz (* 14. Oktober 1914 in Gießen, Großherzogtum Hessen; † 1. März 1969 in Darmstadt). Günther Leitz besuchte 1925 kurzzeitig die Freie Schulgemeinde in Wickersdorf im Thüringer Wald, wurde danach von Hauslehrern in Wetzlar unterrichtet und wechselte 1927 zur Schule am Meer auf die Nordseeinsel Juist. Er war später einer der Geschäftsführer der Optischen Werke Ernst Leitz und leitete deren Werk in Canada.
English: Günther R. W. Leitz (* 14 October 1914 in Giessen, Grand Duchy of Hesse, German Reich; † 1 March 1969 in Darmstadt, Hesse, Federal Republic of Germany). He became one of the managing directors of optical manufacturer Ernst Leitz in Wetzlar and was in charge of their factory in Canada. |
