Español: Patricio Ibarra Cifuentes escribió:"Sátira de El Ferrocarrilito donde se muestra a un supuesto defensor de la capital del Perú, vestido de paisano, agazapado, moviéndose de manera sigilosa dando la impresión de esconderse o huir para no ser enrolado en las filas del ejército peruano, debido al temor provocado por la inminente invasión de los chilenos y la idea de enfrentarse a ellos en el campo de batalla. El grabado fue publicado el 21 de noviembre de 1880, semanas antes de producirse el zarpe la flota que condujo al Ejército de Chile a las puertas de Lima." |
