An enigmatic statue on the high-altar. The locals identify him as Saint John of Nepomuk, and he he does indeed holds a tongue in his right hand. However, the figure clearly depicts Charles Borromeo, while the tongue is assumed to be a recent addition (its styling is very different from the one ruling in the Baroque period) |
