Description
English: Gyan Kund or Gyanvapi Kund near the famous Bhringareshwar Mahadev temple of Sunakothi in Lalitpur district. At first it was a tank but later it was turned into a dug well. It is about 50 feet deep. The water of this tank is used daily in the morning during the daily worship of Bhringdevotees even drink the water of this tank as holy water and sprinkle it on their bodies. This is an ancient pool.
