Description
Svenska: Stor inramad målning/teckning av Josef Wilhelm Wallander, högtidsklädd man i folkdräkt från Vingåker, en brudgum. Mannen är klädd i den traditionella långrocken av vit vadmal, under denna långrandig röd väst, sämskskinnsbyxor och vita stickade strumpor. Han bär svarta skor med stor plös och har en piska i ena handen och en sidenhalsduk i den andra. Rikt dekorerad bronserad träram. Verket är signerat och daterat 1877, på baksidan finns en notering: "Omstående målning av en Vingåkersbonde är ett originalarbete av J. W. Wallander intygar Gustaf Jaensson". Gustaf Jaensson (1891-1981) var svensk hovkonservator, skulptör och målare. Som konservator arbetade han bland annat vid Nationalmuseum, de statliga slotten och konstakademin. Baksidan är stämplad: "Ekströms A.B. Mässhallen, Kungsträdgården 3 Stockholm".
