Description
English: THE BUILDING IS THE OLDEST KNOWN SURVIVING CONVENTIONAL APARTMENT BUILDING IN THE CITY.[2] THE ARCHITECTURAL FIRM OF JOHNSON AND COMPANY DESIGNED THE BUILDING WITH A ROMANESQUE REVIVAL FAÇADE. IT FEATURES RHYTHMIC BAYS THAT FACILITATE INCREASED LIGHT AND AIR CIRCULATION.

REF. # 94001036 THERE IS CURRENTLY A PICTURE OF THIS SITE ON NR LISTING BUT THE PICTURE DOES NOT SHOW THE EXTENT OF THE BUILDING AND SOME ASPECTS NO LONGER APPEAR ON THE BUILDING AS IT IS NOW. THE BUILDING APPEARS EMPTY AND FENCED IN WHICH MAY BE BECAUSE 3RD STREET IS CLOSED BECAUSE OF A TUNNEL THAT IS BEING BUILT IN THE VICINITY. THE BUILDING MAY BE DEMOLISHED IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
