Description
English: Clipper ship sailing card for HAZE. New York Publisher: Nesbitt & Co., Printers Date: August 1862 Description: Clipper ship sailing card, on porcelain coated stock, with color wood-engraving of a pennant. 16.5 x 10.3 cm. (6½ x 4¼”). Sailing card for the Comstock’s Clipper Line vessel, J.W. Holmes, Commander. The "beautiful little Clipper was build and modeled by Chas. H. Mallory, Esq., builder of the famous Clippers "Twilight" and Mary L. Sutton" and is designed expressly for the Californian and China trade." Small typed label on verso with ship name and card date.
