| Description |
English: Built in 1861-1862, this Italianate-style building was constructed to house a store owned by Anton Hackman. The building features red brick side and rear facades, painted brick front facade, front gable roof with an acroterion at the top of the gable, an oxeye attic window with a decorative window hood, one-over-one double-hung windows with decorative window hoods, three oriel windows on the second floor with decorative trim and fluted pilasters, rusticated piers at the first floor between storefront openings, a rough-hewn stone base, six-over-six double-hung windows and a bracketed cornice on the side facades, and two wood-frame rear ells. The building is a contributing structure in the Oldenburg Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. |
