Rückseite: PSAL 36 / EXPECTA DEVM / ET CVSTODI VIAM / EIVS / Ao M D XLIII [o bei Ao hochgesetzt]. Fünfzeiliges Schriftfeld. Kommentar: Gegossene Bronzemedaille, oben gelocht. - Caspar Hedio (geb. 1494 zu Ettlingen, gest. 1552 in Straßburg) war seit 1523 Domprediger in Straßburg und heiratete hier 1524. Er führte in Straßburg die Reformation ein. 1543 war er mit Melanchthon und Bucer in Köln. Als Vorlage für das Porträt diente möglicherweise eine Silberstiftzeichnung von Hans Baldung Grien.
