Summary[edit]

Description
English: Went for a hike today on a newly opened trail system.

The trail map, showing the newly opened (April 22, 2016) Lakeview Trail and Active Transportation Trail section. The trail is a 5 kilometre loop of packed crushed stone that goes around Withered Lake.

What I heard was that the developer of Long Lake Village needed a place to dump the rock from clearing the area (across the road) for a subdivision. An agreement was made and the developer along with others created the paths etc and most of the rock came from the subdivision.

People working together for the common good, a great example to follow.
