Hameçon (faux)
Description
English: This (fake) hook is a double-hook lure, shaped like a fish. Made of lead and iron, it is used in Newfoundland. The processing of cod on the boat was organized and fast, with each task assigned: the pickers gutted, the beheaders cut off the head, and the slicers split the cod in two, removing the dorsal backbone. The fish was then thrown into the hold where the salter stacked it.
Realizzato in piombo e ferro, viene utilizzato a Terranova.
