English: The viewing platform of the abandoned quarry in Kyonan Town[1], Chiba Prefecture dubbed as Jigoku Nozoki (“Hell Peek”) by locals and tourists is located on an overhanging cliff near Ruriko Observatory on the summit of Mt. Nokogiri (Nokogiriyama in Japanese)[2]
(Elevation: 330 m) and offers a dramatic panoramic view of the forest, the Tokyo Bay, and the surrounding cities. <note> The cliff-side observatory leading to the edge does not have the usual stairs.[3][4]
