Description |
English: In the year 1964 the artist Hans Nowak painted this 1.3 meter high and 4.0 meter wide Altar painting in oil on canvas. It is hanging in the Evangelical Lutheran Heiland Church in Oberau. This place is located near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The painting reminds of the miraculous biblical draft of fishes. With his painting style and his composition of the painting, the artist sets an impressionistic contrapoint to other artists, who in earlier times completely differently realised this biblical theme. |
