This historical siteHanuman Dhoka is located in the middle of the main city of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Built in the 16th century, the palace was expanded by King Pratap Malla in the 17th century.

English: This historical siteHanuman Dhoka is located in the middle of the main city of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Built in the 16th century, the palace was expanded by King Pratap Malla in the 17th century. The Shah's family lived in this palace until 1886, when the Narayanhiti palace was built and moved there. The palace was damaged in the 2072 earthquake and is now in the final stages of reconstruction. Due to which, the palace has now appeared in its old form. This is the inner part of the palace. In connection with the reconstruction work, the inner part of the palace has almost been repaired. As soon as he entered the palace, Pratap Malla established a temple of Hanuman near main gate. It is mentioned in the Devmala that these Hanumans were first in a dormant state and then revived by Lambarkana. Inside the palace, there is a statue of Lord Narasimha on the north side near the main entrance . Inside this palace, there are various monasteries and temples with historical objects. The palace complex is very beautiful and the security guards of Prithvinarayan Shah's time are standing in the main gate wearing black clothes with old guns called Guruju platoon.
