Summary[edit]

Description
English: Harp pictogram, Uruk IV (ca. 3350-3200 BC).

Original artifact: ATU 5, pl. 089, W 9656,aa (P001443) https://cdli.mpiwg-berlin.mpg.de/artifacts/1443/reader/90214

The original image may or may not show the third (innermost string); it is very hard to see. Richard J. Dumbrill opted to show the third string in his book The Arcaeomusicology of the Near East, on page 194. I have uploaded two versions of this image, one with two strings, one with three.
