I recently bought a neutral density 8 filter. Today I made my weekly visit to my elderly mother in Hastings. On the way home I thought I'd try a photo of the pier using the ND8 filter. I thought that 100 ISO, f22 and ND8 would give me a really long exposure and misty blurry sea beneath the pier. Huh - 1/6 sec and a crap result. Beginning to think the ND8 was a waste of money. Perhaps I'll look for a ND64. Or a second polarising filter to give variable density with my current polarising filter. |
