Summary

[edit]
Description The northwest side of the Heerbrugg train station. This railway section was opened on July 1, 1858. Since September 21, 1934 it has been electrified. This station building was probably built around 1930. It can be seen for the first time on the map in the early 1930s and can be identified on a historical photo from 1932. The line between St. Margrethen and Buchs on which this station is located, is still single-tracked today. The SBB operate a counter on a quarter of the ground-floor. The rest is occupied by a shop.
