| Description |
English: An colored-infrared image of Hurricane Hilary of the 2023 Pacific hurricane season paralleling the western coast of Mexico. It was a Category 4 major hurricane at the time this image was acquired by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aboard NASA's Aqua satellite during the early morning hours of August 18, 2023. It had 1-min sustained winds of 145 mph (235 km/h) and an official minimum central pressure of 942 mbar (27.8 inHg) at the time this image was captured. |
