| Description |
English: The A3 Portsmouth Road approaching Hindhead on the London bound side. At this point, the road was operating on a contraflow system while the southbound side was closed, due to the works setting everything up for the new tunnel. The layby on the left had been closed. This section would otherwise be a dual carriageway, with both lanes here being the northern carriageway. At this time, when travelling northbound, this was the first part of the roadworks - a couple of hundred meters behind where this photo was taken southbound traffic moved back on to the southbound carriageway. |
