Description
Deutsch: Auf dem Stativ St ruht, in einer Achse A gegen den Horizont drehbar, der Tisch T. Auf ihm gleite ein Schlitten S, welcher durch eine Mikrometerschraube vor und rückwärts geschoben werden kann. Ein Zeiger Z zeigt in Millimeterbruchteilen die Größe der Verschiebung an. Ein Bügel B sitzt dem Schlitten auf und dient dazu, um mittelst der herabschraubbaren Platte P einen Guttaperchastreifen G (siehe Figur 2) zu fixieren. Letzterer bildet die Unterlage des zu schneidenden Objektes O. Der Tisch überragt den Stahlbogen Bg, unter welchem durch die Drehung der Mikrometerschraube das Objekt durchgeführt werden kann. Der Stahlbogen kann, da er in einer Fuge gleitet, am Tisch verschoben, in beliebiger Stellung durch die Stellschrauben Ss fixiert oder auch behufs leichterer Objektbefestigung vom Tisch abgenommen werden.

Die Schnittführung geschieht von freier Hand mittels eines Rasiermessers R (Figur 2), das an der einen Seite plan geschliffen ist. Beim Schneiden führt man seine plane Fläche längs der planen Fläche des Stahlbogens. Die Führung gewinnt an Sicherheit bei Anwendung einer breiten Messingschiene Sch (Figur 2), die zur Aufnahme des Messers eingerichtet ist. Das Objekt werde in der Regel nach vorausgegangener Erhärtung in Paraffin eingeschlossen.

Vorteile der Apparatur:

  • Sichere Führung der Schneide, obwohl das Messer nicht mit dem Apparat fest verbunden ist.
  • Leicht berechenbare, parallele Verschiebbarkeit des Objektes unter der Schneide
  • Sichere Orientierung des Objektes zur Schnittrichtung
