Summary
[edit]DescriptionHistorical Red Barn (19770419016).jpg |
Built around 1864, this is the earliest remaining Scandrett farm building. It was used to store horse saddles, bridles and other farm equipment. Hay was kept in the loft. The barn was also used for community meetings, gatherings and dances. On social occasions people from around the district would arrive on horseback or by boat, and would often stay socialising until the following day. |
