Summary

[edit]
Description Now here is HCM's famous and simple timber house on stilts, in a lovely garden setting, from which Ho Chi Minh ruled wartime North Vietnam prior to his death in 1969. The house is modeled based on the design of Montagnard dwellings from Vietnam's far north and is located right next to HCM's mausoleum. (Montagnard, are the indigenous peoples of the Central Highlands of Vietnam. The term Montagnard means "people of the mountain" in French). HCM certainly carried the idea of rustic and basic to the extreme, no wonder his loyalists and those who agreed with his ideology loved him! (Hanoi, Vietnam, Oct./ Nov. 2016)
