Summary[edit]

Description
English: The recreation hall was built from timber and stone quarried on site and crafted by the internees. The quality of the stonework indicates skilled stonemasons were among those held at Holdsworthy. The roofline contained a number of turrets and wide verandahs. The hall was for use by the camp guards and army personnel. The YMCA provided 'comforts' like reading material, sporting equipment, writing material, books, newspapers, cigarettes, shaving cream and chocolate etc. The building was destroyed by a bushfire c2002.
