Summary[edit]

Description A single share of the Holyoke and Westfield Rail Road Company, sold to the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, on March 13, 1930. The majority of stock was owned by the City of Holyoke during the duration of the railroads existance as a separate legal entity. Today its former infrastructure comprises the Pioneer Valley Railroad. Note the year is 1930 but the book this share note was taken from was at least 30 years old by that time, with the year placeholder 18__ scribbled over.
