[edit]Current provinces that contain the birthplace or hometown of Philippine vice presidents.
Notes
[edit]- At the time of w:Emmanuel Pelaez's birth, the town of Medina was part of the now-defunct province of Misamis, which was only split into two provinces in 1929 (made formal in 1939).
- Metropolitan Manila (though not a province), is highlighted as the birthplace of w:Salvador Laurel, w:Gloria Arroyo, and w:Teofisto Guingona, as it presently contains the city of San Juan. At the time of their births, San Juan was a municipality of the province of Rizal.
- Metropolitan Manila (though not a province), is highlighted as the birthplace of w:Arturo Tolentino and w:Joseph Estrada, as it presently contains the city of w:Manila. At the time of their births, the City of Manila functioned independently from any province, just like today. w:Metro Manila was only organized in 1975.
- At the time of w:Noli de Castro's birth, the town of Pola was part of the now-defunct province of Mindoro, which was only split into two provinces in 1950.
