English: The House of the Temple, a Masonic building located at 1733 16th Street, NW in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The entrance is flanked by two stone sphinxes, Power (pictured) and Wisdom, sculpted by Adolph Alexander Weinman in 1915. The House of the Temple was designed by noted architect John Russell Pope in the neoclassical style, and is a contributing property to the Sixteenth Street Historic District. |
