Summary[edit]

Description This was the first building constructed under the 1903 Group Plan in Cleveland's Civic Center, and was designed by Arnold W. Brunner. Known as the Howard M. Metzenbaum U.S. Courthouse, the building was initially home to Cleveland's branch of the Federal government and the main post office. The Classical Revival-style structure was home to the Federal Courts and offices until 2002, when the majority of Federal Courts and offices moved to the Carl B. Stokes Federal Court House Building.
