Description
English: Huaca Canto Chico - Luz Maria Linarez. The huaca Canto Chico is located at 1165 Canto Grande Avenue, in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho 15408, Peru. The archaeological site huaca Canto Chico is located on the right bank of the Rimac River and is surrounded by the human settlements of Canto Chico, Sagrado Madero, Nuevo Peru and Kawachi. On the other hand, its construction dates back to approximately 1300 A.D.; the site corresponds to the final phases of the Late Intermediate period (1300 A.D.) and would achieve its development during the Late Horizon (1470 to 1535 A.D.). That is to say, most of the visible architecture dates from the Inca period; and according to the findings, it is known that its population was linked to agricultural and livestock production, in addition to various trades such as ceramics, textiles and metallurgy.

Huaca Canto Chico - Luz Maria Linarez. La huaca Canto Chico está ubicada en la avenida Canto Grande 1165, en el distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho 15408, Perú. El Sitio Arqueológico huaca Canto Chico está localizado en el margen derecho del río Rímac y está rodeado por los asentamientos humanos de Canto Chico, Sagrado Madero, Nuevo Perú y Kawachi. Por otro lado, su construcción se remonta aproximadamente a 1300 años d.C; el sitio corresponde a las fases finales del periodo Intermedio Tardío (1300 d.C) y lograría su desarrollo durante el Horizonte Tardío (1470 a 1535 d.C). Es decir, la mayor parte de la arquitectura visible data de la época Inca; y según los hallazgos efectuados, se sabe que su población estuvo vinculada a la producción agrícola y ganadera, además de diversos oficios como la cerámica, la textilería y la metalurgia .
