Description

Huki, US zone Germany 1950

The German toys made in the late 1940s are based on pre-war designs. The colours are of the 1930s: reddish-brown, beige, and olive-grey. The graphics show grim faced riders wearing knitted gloves and scarfs. But during the 1950s the miraculous West German economic recovery - the so called 'wirtschaftswunder' - changes the mood. The colours get brighter; the riders get more relaxed and happier. A wonderfull example of this new era is the Technofix scooter # 282 from 1956.
