Summary[edit]

Description These pale little mites feed on the nectar from a single species of flower and to get to a new flower they hitch a lift in a hummingbird's nostrils. When the hummer feeds from their special flower, the mites run down its beak to feed. Then as the bird moves away they either stay on the flower or rush back up the beak and back into the nostrils.
