Nederlands: Rademacherstraat, Spijkenisse. Tot 1964 liep de haven door tot achterin deze straat (de huizen links stonden er toen nog niet). In 1964 werd dit gedeelte van de haven gedempt. Aanvankelijk stond het bekend als het Gedempte Spui. Op 5 mei 1970 werd het herdoopt in Rademacherplein, naar de arts die o.a. tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog en de typhusepidemie de huisarts van Spijkenisse was. Het plein werd gebruikt als parkeerplaats, vanaf maart 1968 voor de weekmarkt, en voor evenementen zoals kermissen. Toen de huizen links werden gebouwd kreeg de straat zijn huidige naam. |
