IEEE MILESTONE Vorführung eines Vorläufers des Radars, 1904 Am 17. Mai 1904 führte Christian Hülsmeyer ganz in der Nähe dieses Ortes sein Telemobiloskop vor: ein Knallfunkensender, einfache Parabolantennen, ein Detektor und ein Anzeiger. Das Telemobiloskop war dafür entworfen, eine Klingel ertönen zu lassen, sobald ein Binnenschiff in einer Reichweite von einigen hundert Metern das System passierte. Sein Gerät patentierte er in Deutschland, Großbrtannien und den USA. Dies war das weltweit erste einsatzfähige Gerät, das Reflexionen von Radiowellen erfasste - ein Vorläufer des Radars.
