The Institute of Legal and Policy Research (ILPR) formed virtually on 1st January, 2022.[2] Since then it has emerged as a leading think tank in Afghanistan. ILPR as an impartial NGO, and independent institution, our primary objective is to nurture research, refine policies, and foster vigorous public discourse concerning matters affecting public life in Afghanistan. Among these a notable events organized is the International Webinar on "Sensitizing Refugee Rights under the Aegis of Human Rights" held on February 24th, 2024.[10] This webinar facilitated discussions on the protection and promotion of refugee rights within the framework of human rights principles. In the same line, In April 2024, ILPR, in partnership with the School of Law at the University of Mysore,[11] orchestrated the IMUNC on "Impact of War on the Environment."[12] This conference delved into the environmental ramifications of armed conflict, emphasizing the urgent need for sustainable practices amidst global turmoil. Continuing its commitment to diplomatic simulation, ILPR and the School of Law at the University of Mysore convened the first International Foreign Ministers' Model on "Reforming the United Nations Security Council" on April 27th, 2024.[13] Furthermore, the School of Law at the University of Mysore, and ILPR organized the inaugural Students' G77 Summit on May 11th, 2024.[14] This summit addressed pressing issues of global inequality, poverty, disparity, and financial flows, underscoring the imperative of collective action.
