Description

We had been living in Johannesburg, South Africa for 3 years but it was now time to return to Europe. We did not go home as Esther got a contract in the Netherlands where we were also very happy for a couple of years. One of the first places we had visited on arrival in SA was this beautiful beach situated just a few miles along the coast from Durban called Umhlanga Rocks ( its Zulu and pronouced Oom-Schlanger ) and on our way back from Ballito Bay we stopped off to pay it one last visit, As you can see me and its rocks collided. Not too much damage was suffered by either party but when my daughter wanted to take a picture of me I decided to make a play for the sympathy vote. When we changed roles she decided to take the mickey out of me. Very funny young lady.

Such a lovely day we drove the 400 miles back to Jo'burg in the dark. Fine if you don't break down.
