| Description |
English: The former Trinity Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church, 461 West Utica Street at Chenango Street, Buffalo, New York, March 2020. It was in 1880 when Rev. Mikael Norberg first began preaching in Buffalo in the Swedish language; the congregation that would eventually become Trinity was founded three years later and this building, the third to house them, was erected in 1912. They decamped to Tonawanda in 1957, where they still exist under the name Augustana Lutheran Church. The building seen here has been home to various congregations in the ensuing years; currently it hosts the Spanish-language services of Iglesia Pentecostal Elohim. |
