Description
Español: San Antonio de los Alemanes, fundada como iglesia de San Antonio de los Portugueses, es una iglesia situada en el distrito Centro de Madrid (España). Constituye un ejemplo claro del barroco madrileño. Se emplearon en su construcción materiales de bajo coste como el ladrillo y el yeso, con una fachada sobria y chapitel. La principal novedad de esta iglesia es su planta elíptica, una de las pocas que hay en España, así como el hecho de que está enteramente pintada al fresco, tanto la cúpula como las paredes. Su fachada principal, coronada por una estatua del titular, es de un sobrio estilo post-herreriano.
