Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The December 4, 1859 issue of Illustreret Tidende had an article about the spectacular French bridge Pont de la Caille (also known as Le pont Charles-Albert, but there is another with that name). The bridge was built in 1839 and still exists, but now only open to people on foot or on bikes. The illustration was on page 80. It may be safe to assume that Illustreret Tidende got this image from the French Le Magasin pittoresque, where it was featured in October 1859. See "Other versions".
