He was baptizedwhen eight years old, was set apartOct. 28, 1910, for a mission to Japan,and pi-esided over the Japan Missionfrom Oct. 24, 1912, to July 24, 1915.He returned to his home in Utah Aug.21, 1915. IVIE, Lloyd Oscar, president of theJapan Mission from 1921 to 1923, wasborn Oct. 9, 1890, in Salina, Utah, ason of James Oscar Ivie and AnnaCatherine Mortensen. He was bap-tized Oct. 9, 1898, filled a mission toJapan in 1911-1915, and was set apart for a second mission to Japan, to actas president of that mission, Jan. 18,1921.
