| Description | Really hard to capture, the sunset pujas on the Ganga in Haridwar. It was great to be able to watch, absorb and be a part, apart from the predatory Brahman priests guilt-tripping foreigners into paying exorbitant dontations for prayers for family, "how much is the well-being of your family worth" they literal push. All I wanted was to share in this holy ceremony and maybe put my own litle leaf and flower boat into the holy river, offering a few prayers of my own to this revered place. But dollar signs always get in the way... sigh. It was lovely other than that. |
