English: Colombian Marine Corps Commandant Brig. Gen. Fernando Ortiz poses for a photo with Colombian marines at the conclusion of the amphibious demonstration held at Mayport Beach, Fla., April 25, 2009, during Partnership of the Americas (POA) 2009. Run simultaneously with UNITAS Gold, POA is an annual U.S. Marine Corps Forces South multinational, company-level combined and joint exercise focusing on enhanced interoperability among U.S. and partner-nation Marines in the areas of amphibious operations, noncombat evacuation operations, peacekeeping and disaster relief. U.S. Marines deployed as Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force 24 are training with partner-nation marines from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay, and soldiers from the Canadian Royal Army.
