| Description |
Deutsch: Die Grube Münden bei Nentershausen in Hessen war ein Schwerspatbergwerk im Richelsdorfer Gebirge, das ab der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts betrieben wurde. Die vorhandenen Spatlager wurden zunächst im Tagebau und seit 1873 untertage ausgebeutet. Ihre Blütezeit hatte die Grube in der Zeit um die vorletzte Jahrhundertwende, als hier Spat, der auch unter seinem Synonym Baryt bekannt ist, in großen Mengen und in einer hervorragenden Qualität gefördert werden konnte. Das Bergwerk war der ergiebigste Standort in der Region, die einst eines der bedeutendsten Abbaugebiete in Europa war. Im November 1951 endete die Schwerspatgewinnung, teils wegen völliger Erschöpfung der Vorräte, teils weil der Restabbau unwirtschaftlich geworden war. |
