(* 30. ledna 1897, Praha – 1. března 1985, Praha) (někdy uváděn jako Rudolf Barta mladší) byl chemik a technolog (badatel v oblasti chemie silikátů); podnikatel (průmyslník) v oboru keramiky, skla a staviv; zakladatel časopisu Silikáty (dnes Ceramics-Silikáty); pedagog (profesor chemie na Vysoké škole chemicko–technologické a děkan chemické fakulty Českého vysokého učení technického). Přednosta Ústavu pro sklářství, keramiku a zkoušení staviv a člen několika mezinárodních vědeckých společností. Autor stovek vědeckých prací a řady základních vysokoškolských učebnic z oboru sklářství, technologie cementu, žáruvzdorných materiálů a keramiky.
English: Professor Doctor Ing. Rudolf Bárta, DrSc. (* January 30, 1897, Prague - March 1, 1985, Prague) (sometimes referred to as Rudolf Barta Jr.) was a chemist and technologist (researcher in the field of chemistry of silicates); entrepreneur (industrialist) in the field of ceramics, glass and building materials; founder of the journal Silikáty (today Ceramics-Silikáty); educator (professor of chemistry at the University of Chemical Technology and dean of the Faculty of Chemistry at the Czech Technical University). Head of the Institute of Glass, Ceramics and Building Testing and member of several international scientific societies. Author of hundreds of scientific papers and a number of basic university textbooks in the field of glassmaking, cement technology, refractories and ceramics.
