Wouter Van Looy & Andrea Molino - Muziektheater Transparant - -there is no why here- Nederlands: Het onderscheid tussen goed en kwaad lijkt niet alleen voor religieuze leiders klaar en duidelijk. Ook George Bush wist zeker dat zijn ‘war on terror’ een ‘war of good against evil’ was. Bij nader inzien lijkt het echter onmogelijk om in een geglobaliseerde en multiculturele wereld een objectieve, door iedereen aanvaarde definitie van beide categorieën te geven. In navolging van Hannah Arendt schetst ‘-there is no why here-‘ aldus Andrea Molino: “het fundamentele probleem van de aard en functie van het menselijke oordeel”, het probleem van de verantwoordelijkheid ook. De voorstelling wil geen klare oplossingen of duidelijke statements poneren, maar veeleer een veelheid aan verschillende, soms contradictorische bijdragen bieden. Videobeelden, live gefilmd door camera’s op het podium of door externe webcams, vormen een organisch contrapunt bij de voorstelling. De muzikanten bespelen de video, die deel uitmaakt van de muzikale compositie, als een instrument. Componist Andrea Molino is wereldwijd actief als operadirigent en was jarenlang muziekdirecteur van Pocket Opera Company Nurenberg. In de cast hoort u de bijzondere stemmen van David Moss en Anna Linardou. Français : La distinction entre le bien et le mal n'est plus exclusivement une évidence pour les leaders religieux. George W. Bush était, lui aussi, persuadé que sa 'guerre contre la terreur' était une 'guerre du Bien contre le Mal'. En creusant davantage la question, il semblerait pourtant que dans notre environnement mondialisé et multiculturel il soit devenu impossible de donner une définition objective et universellement acceptée de ces deux concepts. Dans le sillage de Hannah Arendt '-there is no why here-' aborde, selon Andrea Molino, 'le problème fondamental de la nature et de la fonction du jugement humain', ainsi que la question de la responsabilité. Le spectacle ne prétend pas apporter des solutions ou prises de position toutes faites, mais tente plutôt de proposer une multitude de contributions diverses, voire contradictoires. Des images vidéo, enregistrées en direct sur scène ou par des webcams extérieurs, offrent un contrepoint naturel au spectacle. Les musiciens se servent de la vidéo comme s'il s'agissait d'un instrument ; elle fait partie intégrante de la composition musicale. The performance is not intended to offer solutions or posit clear statements, but rather to make a multitude of different, sometimes contradictory, contributions. Video images, filmed live by cameras on stage or by external webcams, create an organic counterpoint to the show. The musicians play the video, which is part of the musical composition, like an instrument.Composer Andrea Molino works all over the world as an opera conductor and for many years was Musical Director of Pocket Opera Company in Nuremberg.
