Arcanto Quartett Nederlands: Het zou een mooie kwisvraag zijn voor 'De Slimste Melomaan ter Wereld': 'Noem de vier topmusici die elk een bloeiende carrière als solist kennen en samen een van de beste strijkkwartetten van het moment vormen.' Trouwe bezoekers van deSingel roepen vol enthousiasme het juiste antwoord: 'Antje Weithaas, Daniel Sepec, Tabea Zimmermann en Jean-Guihen Queyras!' Ondertussen is het Arcanto Quartett voor de derde keer bij ons te gast. En aangezien ze maar enkele weken per jaar aan het kwartetspel kunnen wijden, zijn we opnieuw zeer vereerd dat ze onze Blauwe Zaal aandoen met een programma dat hun superieure kwaliteiten extra in de verf zet. Hun spontane energie en structurele klaarheid laten Mozart vanzelfsprekend klinken. In het eerste 'Rasumovskikwartet' van Beethoven demonstreert het Arcanto Quartett haar transparante lijnenspel en expressief cantabile. Als een kameleon verplaatst Arcanto zich tenslotte in de kleurrijke dramatiek van Brittens adembenemende Tweede Strijkkwartet. Français : Ce serait une belle question à poser lors d'un quiz pour le 'Mélomane le plus Intelligent du Monde': 'Nommez quatre grands musiciens ayant chacun une carrière florissante en tant que soliste tout en formant ensemble un des meilleurs quatuors à cordes actuels.' Les fidèles visiteurs de deSingel s'exclameraient plein d'enthousiasme: 'Antje Weithaas, Daniel Sepec, Tabea Zimmermann et Jean-Guihen Queyras!' Entre-temps, c'est la troisième fois que l'Arcanto Quartett sera notre invité. Et comme ils ne peuvent consacrer au quatuor que quelques semaines par an, nous sommes à nouveau très honorés de pouvoir les accueillir dans notre Salle Bleue avec un programme qui souligne leur exceptionnelles qualités.
