B'Rock Orchestra olv. Francesco Corti - Händel, Conti, Corelli, Heinichen, J.S. Bach Nederlands: Italië-Duitsland. Voor velen een gedroomde WK-finale. In de 18de eeuw waren de twee landen muzikale concurrenten. B’Rock bewijst hoeveel schoonheid die botsing van tradities oplevert. Bach en Händel ontmoetten Conti en Corelli. De gevolgen laten zich horen. Bach bleef levenslang gefascineerd door de Italiaanse muziek. Dankzij hem bleef Conti’s prachtige solocantate ‘Languet anima mea’ bewaard. In het exuberante ‘Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen’ gaan Vivaldi en Scarlatti met zijn verbeelding aan de haal. Händel hernieuwde in Engeland zijn relatie met het concerto grosso dat er dankzij Corelli immens populair was. Zijn opus 6 legde de lat op een nieuwe hoogte. Als één ensemble de bandbreedte heeft om deze versmelting van tradities te laten horen, dan wel B’Rock. En de winnaar? Dat bent u. Français : Italie-Allemagne. Une finale de Coupe du Monde rêvée pour certains. Mais au XVIIIe siècle, les deux pays se faisaient concurrence en musique. B'Rock démontre quelle immense beauté a engendré le choc de ces deux traditions. Bach et Haendel ont rencontré Conti et Corelli, et les conséquences s'entendent clairement. Bach est resté toute sa vie fasciné par la musique italienne. C'est grâce à lui qu'a été préservée la superbe cantate solo de Conti « Languet anima mea ». Dans l'exubérant « Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen », Vivaldi et Scarlatti s'emparent de l'imaginaire de Bach. Haendel a renoué en Angleterre avec le concerto grosso, qui y était extrêmement populaire grâce à Corelli. Son opus 6 a encore relevé ce genre musical. S'il y a un ensemble capable de faire honneur à cette fusion des traditions, c'est bien B'Rock. Et le grand gagnant de l'histoire, c'est vous ! In England, Handel renewed his relationship with the concerto grosso, which thanks to Corelli was immensely popular there. His Opus 6 raised the bar to a new height.
