Pleurocystidia on gill face of Inocybe nitidiuscula in congo red (they are the larger flask-shaped cells). The smaller club-shaped cells which sometimes have "horns" are basidia, and some spores can be seen. Scale divisions: 3.75µm. Image location: Massy, Essonne, France Cap to 4.5cm. Gill edge whitish. Stipe not discolouring, entirely pruinose, white below, pink/brown above, without abrupt bulb. Spermatic smell. Under conifers in a garden. Used references: – Funga Nordica 2018 Based on microscopic features: Spores about 10µm x 5.5µm (see photo). Pleurocystidia about 60µm x 17µ.
