Die Inschrift in der Mauer erinnert daran, dass nach Beginn des Dreißigjähriger Kriegs (1618–1648) im Jahr 1622 alle Bäume und Sträucher vor der Stadt Warburg gefällt und entfernt wurden, um freies Sicht- und Schussfeld zu haben.
