Summary[edit]

Description

Nearly 160 youngsters spent April 23, 2015, at the National Science Foundation where they participated in the agency’s Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. The day included hands-on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) educational activities, and talks about the importance of science and what NSF does. One of the highlights was a live chat with personnel at Palmer Station in Antarctica. Through the “magic” of digital photography, some children took individual photos and then were edited into one of six scenes such as this gathering of penguins in Antarctica.
