Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Wood engraving of the Institution for the Improved Instruction of Deaf-Mutes, New York City. The address of the building shown is not Broadway and 45th Street, as misleadingly indicated, but 330 East 14th Street, near the First German Baptist Church (left), which is today the Temple Tifereth Israel Town and Village Synagogue, a designated New York City landmark.[1][2] The institution moved around 1870 to their new address.[3]
