English: A luthier tunes the bridge of a violin. It is important that all parts of an acoustic musical instrument have the same resonance (frequency). With a small “tuning stick” he clicks on the bridge and with his hearing he can determine if the bridge has the right resonance.
Svenska: En instrumentmakare stämmer stallet till en fiol. Det är viktigt att alla delar i ett akustiskt musikinstrument har samma resonans (frekvens). Med en liten “stämmpinne” knäpper han på stallet och med sitt gehör kan han avgöra om stallet har den rätta resonansen. |
